Regional Veterans Memorial
The Regional Veterans Memorial located on Columbia Park Trail in Kennewick Washington is an impressive monument honoring all veterans in the Tri-City area. The memorial has a 40 foot tall pillar surrounded by 10 smaller ones totaling 60 tons.
Tom McMillin of Richland along with his wife Joyce (both deceased) planned and spearheaded the building of the memorial until it was dedicated on May 14 2004
From the very beginning, the Fr. Willliam A. Schmitz assembly supplied and replaced the United States flag every year on Veterans Day. We also replace the flag any time if it becomes tattered and in need of replacement.
Patriotism is the principle of the 4th degree of the Knights of Columbus and we are proud and privileged to be able to honor our veterans in this small but visible way.
